Come riportato da Kotaku.co.uk, sono passati due mesi da quando, in occasione del Direct di Nintendo di febbraio, si era fatta menzione del prossimo gioco a firma dello studio Tokyo RPG Factory, titolo di genere action RPG Oninaki, e fino a fino a poco tempo fa non sono state comunicate ulteriori novità. Finalmente l’editore Square Enix ha comunicato nuove informazioni sul gioco rilasciando un trailer illustrativo con ulteriori dettagli riguardo i personaggi che ne animano la storia.
Ispirato ai classici giochi di ruolo della terra del Sol Levante, Oninaki offre una esperienza all’avanguardia in fatto di moderne tecnologie.
In Oninaki i giocatori sono tenuti a impersonare il giovane Kagachi, appartenete ai Watcher che hanno il compito di guidare le anime perdute nell’aldità, così da permettere la prosecuzione del ciclo eterno della reincarnazione. Il suo destino muta drammaticamente nel momento in cui incontra Linne, una enigmatica giovane fanciulla privata di ogni ricordo del proprio passato.
Con il proseguire dell’avventura, i giocatori si imbatteranno in vari personaggi come Kushi, modello ideale di Watcher e capo fidato, Mayura, una Watcher dal cuore gentile e lo spadaccino Night Devil, dal passato avvolto tra le ombre del mistero e intento a dare la caccia a Linne.
